What's the verdict on this thing? I don't necessarily dislike my oled switch with normal joycons

I picked it up and it's not bad. If you're fine with the ergonomics of the normal switch then it's not worth buying this. I have big hands and never really liked the feel of holding the switch, so for $30 I tried it and liked it. The joysticks and face buttons are good but the triggers are meh at best, and obviously nothing like first party or a nice 3rd party like 8bitdo. For $50 there are better controllers to buy, but for the discounted price, I'm happy with it. I came from a set of larger molded aliexpress joycons and this is miles better in build quality and button/joystick feel and I think I paid $20~ for those a couple years ago.

It's awesome. I only play handheld and had the Hori split pad which is decent but no rumble, this is a huge upgrade all around

I thought it supported docking to TV, it seems it's Plus model only

I got one of these for my kids because they were a little rough with the joycons and this is one continuous piece all across the back. I thought it worked well

This supports usb c to hdmi output because switch requires power input to out put video via usb c.
I was debating since the chinese adapters are two port for power input, but had no issue using a benfei usb c to hdmi while powered.

This model doesn't have a dock built in, only the Plus model.

Ahhh true. Some confusing marketing since its hard to tell the difference besides a plus sign in the O of Nitro Deck on the box!

Got lucky with the used system I got last week w/ case. Thank you for the insight.

Still a good deal since this is the price crkd sells refurb for on their site with amazon return policy.
worth it for the plus edition for $15 more if you need output on the go.
Currently on sale directly from CRKD for the plus edition $44.99 pre tax with free shipping over $50 (I do like having the case, but wish I also had room for joycons for multiplayer).

They ever fix the passive battery drain from these?
