Wow this is a good deal, I signed up yesterday for an alert, lucky. Yes there are cheaper 5080 laptops out there but there is NOTHING, no other laptop in this form factor out there and for the price.

Thank you! I scored it for $1918 (good condition). I was waiting for the 5070 Ti to hit sub $1600 but this is great.

Wonder how this compares to the 5070ti version that everyone complains about (not having vapor phase cooling found on the 16" version).

Very nice, I already bought a Lenovo with a 5080 in it for about the same price. In hindsight this would have been a better form factor for me i would just worry about the cooling in a small package.

They're pretty close, pretty much indistinguishable but 16gb vram instead of 12gb. For a $300 diff in price tho, it wouldn't make sense to get the 5070ti. You also get a bigger ssd.

I love my Lenovo slimline 4060, I'd preferred to stay with their brand but the form factor is important for me.

The g14 will definitely run hot, but can make some tweaks to cool it a bit.

I actually have the (prev gen) ROG 16" with the 2070 (daughter using it) and 14" with the 5070ti, but still mainly use my Alienware 16" w/ 4090. I think I want to sell the 2 and move to a 16" (5070ti/5080) as it's still portable enough for me and quieter than the 14" would be.
