Notes: The SX shifter, chain, and derailleur are entry-level, but moving up to GX is only about $200 total parts before labor. Also, Canyon sizing tends to run large. If you're 5'5", you'd normally ride a Small in other brands, but with Canyon you'll barely fit an XS. See the size chart.
Edit: Bought and received, was really easy to put together and unboxing includes all tools. Just need to attach the wheels, handlebars, attach the remote switch for front forks, add seat post, and pedals. Unlike my Specialized Chisel FS with a SX drivetrain, this Canyon Exceed had a perfectly tuned SX drivetrain out of the box. Most of the work will be removing the protective bubble wrap and breaking down the box. See

SX/GX maybe not the best from SRAM, but probably okay until they wear out. The best upgrade would be getting nicer wheels and changing to a carbon seatpost.

You can upgrade:
- shifter
- derailleur
- chain
to GX without changing the freehub if you keep using the same NX/SX cassette. Swapping out SX for a GX shifter/derailleur should get a noticably crisper improvement. I did so on my entry-level Specialized Chisel FS.You can upgrade:
