This 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 golf cart battery stands out for strong real world cart performance, a metal case, and a 200 amp BMS that suits high current use. The bundle can also be cheaper at $599 without the charger, and the same battery is described as the DC House version. It replaces a typical six battery lead acid setup, cuts voltage sag, and can add usable runtime. The main drawback is the 108 pound weight, which makes lifting and installation awkward, and cold weather charging needs care.
Golf cart owners replacing a lead-acid bank, because it delivers stronger usable power and more runtime while fitting the existing wiring.
It appears to be the same battery and the same company, with the DC House-labeled version reported as identical. That matters because setup, performance, and teardown/load-test videos for the DC House unit may apply here too.
It weighs about 108 lb, which is a real consideration for lifting and installation. The metal case is favored for fire protection and shielding, but the weight is heavier than some plastic or rack-style alternatives.
The full bundle includes a 48V 18A charger, but the deal can drop to $599 if you skip the charger and take a monitor instead. That makes sense if you already have a compatible 48V charger.
Yes. It is used as a direct replacement for the existing six batteries in a typical golf cart and can provide more usable runtime because lithium holds voltage better as it discharges.
It uses a 200A BMS on a 100Ah pack, with reported burst capability up to 400A for 30 seconds and 1000A for 1 second. That high current headroom makes it a strong fit for golf carts with stock or upgraded controllers.
I'm a newbie and never replaced my batteries. Can I use the current wiring? Is this as easy as removing all the batteries and install this battery centered in the middle of the seat and then charge? Can someone recommend any instructions? I don't want to get shocked or burn my house down. 😀

Replace which batteries?
In general, yes you can use the existing wiring. If it's multiple 12v "car batteries" that are currently there, then you can get rid of the wires connecting between each battery, and just use the positive from 1st battery and negative from last battery, and put those on this new 48v battery.
Charger-wise, you want to remove the wiring for the charger, as you'll need to use this new charger instead. You should have enough space to mount it right next to your battery though, as 48v LiFePO4 is a lot smaller than 48v lead-acid.
If it's a fairly light vehicle, the weight difference between the old & new battery may make things become off-balance. For example I switched my mower to this same battery a few years back (for waaaay more money than this) and now the back isn't heavy enough to use it for certain applications like snow plowing
I have the DC House version of this and it was the best upgrade I've done to my golf cart. I had an on-board charger and it cut at least 100lbs of weight off the cart. Way more power than lead acid in reality and SOTP.
For those saying something about the weight, I picked this up, by myself, and installed 3 months post TOTAL knee replacement. With two people, this is not a problem. Besides, you are only installing it the one time.
As far as the wiring goes, I replaced a 4-12 volt setup and you basically remove all of your existing positive and negative cables and wire this directly to your speed controller. In my cart, I modified my battery tray (plastic) with a dremel to get it to sit flat, moved my controller over about 8 inches, and installed this. I put the charger on-board under the seat and STILL have room left over. I have now gained all of the under-rear seat storage back (all of that was taken up by the factory on-board charger before.) Again; great deal on a great setup and you'll wish you had done it sooner.
And yes you can find a full load test and tear down video on youtube, which I did before I bought mine because I was leary too.
Any of you thinking about putting this on an ebike? Heavy at 100lbs but might go great for a 3-wheel trike for long distance runs on a flatter surface.
Understood.
I like everything about the battery except for the weight.
I'm getting old and I would have problem lifting this thing.
I bought the Oupes 6000 and that's about the same weight and I had a difficult time getting into the back of my SUV.
Some of the rack 48v 100ah battery(which is also metal casing) is ~90lbs and I may be able to move that.
They make 50 ah batteries that are about 1/2 the weight, but cost a little more per Wh. If you need to move them frequently it may be worth it. if you are going to place it and leave it, I say go for the 100 lbs and get help if you can.

I have 2 of their 48v 50ah batteries.
I was thinking getting one of this as my expansion battery hack for one of my power station.
Just saying the rack batteries can be had for 90lbs vs 108lbs.
For stronger people, this is a non issue.
I know these (any lithium batteries) have issues charging during cold weather. You can ruin the batteries trying to charge them when it's cold. How do you guys handle that...just don't charge them when its cold?
