AMC A-List is a strong fit for frequent moviegoers who want premium formats like IMAX, Dolby, and 3D without paying per ticket. The membership also covers special features and concerts, and the value improves quickly when several films a month are in play. The main catches are the three month commitment, the fact that gift cards do not apply, and that Fathom events are excluded. Theater availability, commute time, and rising pricing can also limit the appeal, especially if the local AMC lineup is thin.

So this deal is valid from 2/24/26 to 5/21/26? That's awesome as there isn't much coming out in March & April that I'm looking forward to. I'll definitely do this in May.

I used to have A list before the pandemic but movies have gotten increasingly worse in quality since. I think I've seen maybe 3 movies since then that I actually wanted to pay money to go see in the theater. It's why I haven't renewed my membership.
Same and I agree. I just wait until HD qualities are uploaded onto the free stream sites and watch at home.

You're the rare consumer asking for less instead of appreciating the more given to you. 4 movies works out great for watching the same movie in 3D, IMAX etc.
Too much of the good things may not necessarily be good for you. You're forgetting that most people do not live near an AMC that carries more than 20 movies in a single day. The last time I had A-List it was three movies per week. Even with AMC Empire 25 that showed 35 movies yesterday, I still managed to forfeit a movie ticket every now and then because I had to add 3 hours of commute in and out of Manhattan. Sometimes I only had the time to watch two movies in one day. There is a theater that has IMAX and 3D (AMC Fresh Meadows) but it only carries 8 movies. My friend could never watch 4 new movies per week, and he always forfeit at least one ticket per week. So paying more to get one extra movie per week doesn't work out for most people. I know because I used to post A-List deals on FB when they offered 3 movies per week. Back then you earn points for A-List tickets only. Over one hundred of my FB buddies signed up and kept the A-List. Every week I ordered the most expensive tickets possible using their accounts if they had unused tickets for the week, and there were CB portals that pays for Fandango purchases where A-List counts. I was making $30-$50 per week just by using unused A-List, and I was also earning 25 to as many as 60 VUDU credits per week. After AMC jacked up the prices and increased the tickets from 3 to 4 per week, over 90% of my friends cancelled A-List. Fandango stopped rewarding points on A-List tickets, and they stopped working with CB portals to give people cash back.

I bought an AMC Godzilla 32oz plastic cup off ebay and just walk up to the freestyle machine and fill it up before my movie along with some snacks/sandwiches from home. I get shamed for being so 'cheap'
As long as you don't cross that line into fraud/theft. Does that old cup qualify you for free refills today?

Worth it if you are going to the movies 3x a month. Not worth it because wtf are you going to the theaters to watch? Hollywood is dead and the war is coming to US soil

I'm all for sneaking your own snacks and drinks in.

But filling up your old cup with their soda isn't cheap, it's straight theft of product.

Disappointed that SD would front page a blatantly misleading deal like this - the cost is $49-$57 for three months. (OP's original post was way more clear and honest, sucks that staff decided "hey let's make this more deceptive".

Really? I can't imagine a month going by without at least one movie I want to see. I have a wide variety of things I like, though.

Worth pointing out AMC gift cards cannot be redeemed towards A-List.Well worth it if you go a lot, especially to premium formats. There's a number of special features/concerts also included. (Kiki's Delivery Service 4K remaster opening next month). Fathom events however are not included (recent LOTR showings).
If a screening isn't available, I just grab tickets to another movie and see it anyways.

If you're going to pay just the first month, assuming you can watch several movies on Thursday, the best day to join is Thursday. Friday is the reset.
