HB2 supports some new models, like S220 and E30.

HB3 has some serious issues. If it isn't necessary, don't get one. They like to broadcast a hidden network for cameras and it will destroy your 2.4ghz spectrum. Even if you change the channel on your router. There are ways to fix it, but it involves a second router or doing surgery on the thing.

I don't really see the point of this thing. It slows everything down as well. Good luck live viewing quickly or watching recordings. An SD card in each camera is significantly better, quicker, and even cheaper.

I did it for more storage space and what I thought was going to be quicker recall of video. What kills me is that if a camera is offline, I can't review the footage from the homebase that was previously recorded by the camera. The eufy app is mind-blowing bad. Google home provides a better live view from cameras.

I could rant for a long time about the issues with this, Unfortunately it is required for some of the doorbells.

I'm not sure if it's quicker; i was contemplating getting this in hopes to alleviate the long loading issues I intermittently and randomly get when trying to live view a camera. There has been so many times where I hear the dogs barking and when trying to check the cameras, they're just stuck on "Loading" forever

What do you do in the event a bad guy destroys the camera including the SD card in it?

These cameras aren't a great substitute for a security system, but they work for casual monitoring.

It will make the loading issues substantially worse. Homebase 3 is a piece of **** and they never fix any bugs because there's constantly a new one being worked on. I've already seen some ads for it in the eufy app.

Mine just died randomly after two years. We only have two cameras that are required to be paired to it. I don't really want to invest more into this ecosystem. At this point I'd like to move toward a home assistant setup.

I got it with the s4 solar cams, it just slowed everything way down. I disconnected the cameras from it and now they're usable, I still need to have it for the doorbell camera though...
