Rotating car seats I recommend because it is easier to put the baby on the seat when it is front facing

There's been safety issues with several models/brands, obvious why. I bought car seats for my grandkids and wanted some of these for the reasons you've said, but after looking at them and imagining being in a wreck I passed. A locking base is no doubt the safer bet over a spinning pivot point.

Before you guys buys this, please do some research. There is an issue with the chest strap on this exact seat that causes it to fall apart. This is a huge safety issue and Chico so far has not issued any statement or done a recall on it. Ours literally crumbled in our hands and so has many others. Chico will send a replacement buckle but others have reported the same issue happening shortly after. There are also many people reporting that the buckle does not fasten correctly which allowed their child to easily undo it. The scary part is that it can look entirely fine but completely fall apart the second after.
