Just note 2 things: it had only 2/3 battery size compared to most other handhelds, and sd slot you should treat as non existent.

Fair warning; check your bumper switches to make sure they don't display a common sensitivity failure. It's board integrated and not replaceable without soldering. I managed to get the right switch semi-reliable after blowing contact cleaner into the switch repeatedly, but it will never be perfect.
That said, I was really happy with how the handheld played Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. It's much more able to play high-end games than my Steam Deck OLED. I upgraded the battery in my Ally, and it made it considerably more usable as well. Overall, I like my Ally, but I can't recommend it to everybody. You need to be a tinkerer to get the most out of it.

the ergonomics are also way better
but I still use the ALLY because I changed the battery to the JSAUX upgrade and have an XG MOBILE... the ALLY is overall more portable (flatter) and stronger but I personally hate Windows 11, that affects my opinion a lot
do keep in mind the MicroSD card slot of the ALLY will eventually die, so just treat it as if it wasn't there
you can also just install STEAMOS on a this ALLY and change the battery since the STEAMDECK is oos and the lenovo GO S is not going to be cheap again
