Even though the price looks good, if anyone has a Costco membership, the new Ninja Crispi will be available starting March 2 for $125. Seeing that this one is "refurbished by a third-party vendor" makes me a bit hesitant to purchase it. I'd probably wait for the Costco deal instead, especially since it also includes PowerPod Cover.

Can Woot refurbs be trusted?

Especially for something like this that will get especially gross with normal use?

Probably same quality as Amazon refurbs. For things like this I would assume they only refurb non used items. That's my guess, never bought cooking refurb products from Amazon.

Is it a bad idea to use a glass container inside my air fryer oven?

How is it compare to your regular air fryers? It seems easy to take with you on camping if power is available! Anyone with experience using it?

Years ago when when The Sharper Image was going out of business I bought their Super Wave Oven [amazon.sg]for $60. The thing was a beast. I would still have it had I not dropped the large glass bowl

That was my first thought too, but it sounds like a safer option at least in terms of your health since most have PFAS-based coatings. Though you'd definitely have to be more careful when taking it out and setting it down after use, checking for cracks every time, or extreme changes in temperature (like putting a cold glass container in an already-hot air fryer). One big plus is that you can see your food cooking.. now I'm kind of considering updating ours (a conventional one with a coating), but still have a little lingering skepticism of the glass ones.

Edit: I just looked mine up and it's PFOA, PTFE, & BPA-Free.. but that doesn't cover all PFAS chemicals, so I guess you'd want to look for something that explicitly says "PFAS free"

I was a skeptic when my wife got it, and it has pleasantly surprised me. we typically use it for making some breakfast sausages/brawts, reheating chicken etc. It is very good at crisping up cold items and effectively heats the core of the food item as well. Definitely would recommend if you want a small airfryer for the road.
