I don't understand tinted sunscreen. Is this only for a certain demographic? Is it like makeup? If you buy the wrong tint you look real weird?

Tinted sunscreens also protect against visible light, due to the inclusion of iron oxides. And due to that added pigment they have the unintended effect of smoothing out and balancing one's skin tone.
