Purchased this unit 6 years ago and still running strong. I usually replace the filter once a year. It's crazy how much dust this thing collects in the pre filter screen. Really is no need for a smart version, it just sucks in dust. What else is there to know from your phone ....lol

Damn I just bought the white one, didn't arrive yet but I think they are shipping it. I wanted the black one. I will try to cancel and get this. Looks much better.

Best deal in a while on the graphite version. Usually it seems they discount the white versions.

This is technically not the smart version. This deal is for the non-s version.

I recommend the smart version (400S) due to the ability to link it to home assistant and other air quality monitors, etc.

Agreed. I've had mine since BF of 2019. Pre filter gets a lot of the stuff in my small room.

You do need to run this at medium speed to get a lot of the benefits. Leaving it on auto doesn't seem to pick up as much dust as medium does. I think I read on Wirecutter that for any purifier, it needs to run at a certain CFM to really be effective and running most purifiers on something lower than their respective medium setting doesn't do a whole lot of good.

Dust falls to ground. Purifiers aren't for dust, they are for airborne particles

I have two of the graphite non smart. I don't mind the lack of smart connection features. The air quality color circle is helpful at a glance. 2 sets of hepa filters per unit. Doors are magnetic which is nice. Its very quiet on med speed.

I have a smart version because it was cheaper at the time of purchase. I would recommend buying whatever model is cheaper. Their app is garbage. If you want to monitor your air quality, better to get a dedicated monitor

When did you set that up? They replaced their app and now all the reviews say it is garbage and can't set basic things like a schedule.

It's on sale often for $400, so $50 more.

I don't use their app. I have home assistant setup using their api so it automates everything on the backend.

This is why I like my smart version that was $50 more. I have an Apollo air monitor and my Airmega both on my home assistant, and I can set triggers based on my Apollo monitor instead of just the local sensor.
