Just bought one of these things the other day. This is a better price.

Just put a piece of tape over the slider. All it would take in a drawer is a slide to activate the slide switch, then a bump from putting too much stuff in the drawer and your house burns down.

I bought a pair of these that bend. I still find them awkward to use. Even lighting a candle takes about 15 to 20 seconds because you have to get the arc on the wick just so. I would recommend going to the Dollar Tree and buying the propane type.

I have a bendy one, works great. Similar lighting time as a fuel/gas based lighter.

For occasional usage, better to get a propane type because you do not have to worry about the battery being depleted

There is a lock on theses. Any of these would be a concern if you don't lock it and put it in the draw.

Not sure how good these are going to be, but I just bought a 2-pack of the flexi version from the same company for $5.99 - https://a.co/d/055eiiyS

I have the bendy ones, works great and always cool to see the electric arc lighting up the candles. The smaller candles work the smaller wick works great, the bigger ones will take a few seconds longer to light up. All in all, would buy again!

These aren't going to light from a "bump", unless said bump has opposable thumbs.

I got some of these, not this brand but they're all pretty similar, for lighting candles at a restaurant for birthdays, and quite quickly realized they were not safe to keep in an apron. The slider is super easy to move, there's very little security, it absolutely could be activated accidentally. It was a little more dynamic than a drawer, but they need a fundamental redesign on the safety, akin to trigger lighters.
