Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Updated the post to mention this is for unlimited premium and flexible plans. If you are on a different plan, you can switch to one of those plans , do the deal for 120 days and switch back

But you also need a new number. What is the cheapest way to buy a new number for port-in?
No number needed... If I was doing a new acct byod to phone esim, generate number - wait minimum 24 hours have activating line (do not buy within first 24 hours even if it shows up) and then after 24 hours if it shows up do it as existing

I know OP says you have to wait 21 days, maybe things have changed but thats not my experience in the past

Apparently it will let you trade an S25+ if you upgrade to an Ultra, but doesn't let you trade the 25+ for a 26+.... very annoying. The Ultra is too large for me. Comes out to $325 after the trade in.
Edit: Appears they are now letting you trade in S25+ for S26+
How much trade in credit? It usually sucks

I will be better off passing. The Samsung site has a discount after trade-in: an S25 Ultra for $399 for non-education accounts and $379 for education accounts.
Where's this deal and what do you have to trade in to get that price?

As the deal expires 11th March there is not enough time to become an "existing customer" and do this deal but Fi runs the same deal after preorder period with no free storage upgrade so if you want any of these phones you can do the following

https://fi.google.com/about/promo...ltraPFmemU
Are they really enforcing the 21 days now? It was never enforced in the past , I did it for the s24+ preorder. Activated BYOD a few days before Samsung Unplugged, and purchased phone as existing customer 4 days later

People had trouble who activated and purchased phone after seeing deal same day - the system needs about 24 hours to register you in the system as an existing customer so despite seeing the deal, you get messed up. Thats what happened with s22. Activated, same day saw deal, purchased , countdown clock never started, so I had to fight with customer service

WHAT IS THIS option? ONLY 24x$16.67 = $400 if I agree to pay their absurdly expensive $65+tax monthly fee?

Choose payment

Pay $1,499.99 $999.99 today
Pay $62.50/mo $16.67/mo for 24 months
No interest. Credit check required. Small down payment may be due at checkout.

That's for the new customer and this deal is for the existing customer. Please refer to original post to see how you can become an existing customer which I am pasting here as well

"As the deal expires 11th March there is not enough time to become an "existing customer" and do this deal but Fi runs the same deal after preorder period with no free storage upgrade so if you want any of these phones you can do the following

1. Open a FI account with gmail and flexible plan which is $20 per month and $10 per GB of data. Also use *unmentionable" code during registration to get $60 off service.
2. Be on Fi for 21 days or so after which you will see these deals.
3. Activate the phone, make sure the 120 day counter in the Fi app goes down by 1 after a day. You can then disable the Fi eSIM and use the phone with your carrier as Fi phones are factory unlocked.
4. Keep the Fi service active for 120 days when counter goes to zero.
5. You can then pause the service for next deal or cancel the line.
6. Your total cost should be + $100 service charges for 5 months - $60 credit.

From what I have seen in the last year, yes, people saw the upfront discount pricing after 21 days or so. But it's possible you see it right away after a day but I suggest waiting at least the first bill is generated before ordering.

The Ultras have been always too big for me until I got my hands on the S25 Ultra. It's smaller and more manageable. Easy slipping in and out of your pocket. Dunno if the S26 Ultra would be similar dimensions

Which plan are you on? You have to been on unlimited premium or flexible for this. You can upgrade to one of those plans, do the deal, stay on for 120 days and switch back.

I'm on the Unlimited Standard plan so that could be why.
