Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Updated the post to mention this is for unlimited premium and flexible plans. If you are on a different plan, you can switch to one of those plans , do the deal for 120 days and switch back

Yeah I'm not gonna wait 20+ days staring at the phone. Big Grin
Both promo (ref & phone) shows up under promotions and I should be able to do both at the same time.
Why would they let us order it with $650 discount if the actually promo is not gonna work.
Worst case scenario, I'll just return the phone within 15 days.
If they don't take it I have AMEX return protection.

I can't wait for Monday to come.
Google Fi is known to do things like that so I won't rely on being able to order as the truth. It will then pop up an error in middle of the promo so I strongly suggest you wait at least 22 days after opening an account but you can take a chance e.g. this deal was not to be shown for the new users at all before 21 days so theres that.

I activated my the Fi esim on my S26 Ultra. I'll report back here if Fi claws back my $650.

I've been doing Google Fi S23U, S24U, S25U, and now S26U. All past deals had either multiple $20 or $60 referral credits. I chose to activate the phones as soon as I received them. Never had an issue getting both promos honored. Random folks would use my referral code at different dates obviously and I would receive the credits at the appropriate date.

Not sure why it would be different this time around.

It's not hitting everyone and I am not sure what triggering it but as long as you don't see it you are good provided you activate it later as advised. I will be curious to know how you are doing two promotions at the same time on your other FI account? Are these for different lines?
The offer only shows up if you use a Rxferl code. I did one without it and the offer did not change.

Ordered at 1am last night for S26 ultra, out for delivery today from Rancho Cucamonga. Was originally supposed to deliver March 11. Seems they are delivering early if your Google ship site is near.

S23 Ultra rebooted and never came out of infinite boot loop, even Odin didn't work.

Would it be safer to use the phone with another cell provider, then activate fi on it once the referral promo countdown ends? If that's even possible?

Waiting also adds a marginal cost since you have to keep service from 120 days from the activation, if I understand it correctly. Edit: just noticed OP has that cost built into the post already

Did you sign up as a new Google Fi user, or were you a former Fi user?

My son is a new Fi user, he ordered yesterday but hasn't gotten his shipping notification yet. Also in Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area.

I have done the same as an existing user but activation comment was for the new users. Did you do all those ultra deals as new user?

You can't boot it into recover/odin mode?

You should be able to do that, as long as FI app is not installed

It boots into download mode only, no access to recovery whatsoever.
It seems to be a defect that Samsung is aware of, as Reddit and Samsung forums are filled with complaints. All my Samsung phones usually go bad around the 3 year mark. Everyone with the same bootloop issue, says the motherboard on the S23 ultra heats up and causes chip separation, that doesn't exactly make sense cause in download mode the phone doesn't automatically bootloop

I used nothing but Samsung phones since the fascinate from 2010. It's always been that way for me, 3 years then the phone magically breaks.

I really should move away from Samsung.

Former user, had Google fi account since the Note20.
A friend referred his brother. New Fi user. He ordered last week though and got his phone today. Hoping my son gets the same, but he only ordered last night...so maybe we won't get his til later this week.
