Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Any suggestion on which platform to use for selling S25U locally? Is it FB marketplace? Any other? Thanks
FB Marketplace worked for me for past years.

I have 2 lines in my group (Flexible plan). Line #1 is under Samsung S26 promotion, so stay active for 120 days (currently 119days). But for line #2 (currently paused), can i unpause or port it out without affecting the promotion on line #1?

The terms says: Remain active and in good standing on the qualifying device for 120 consecutive days. Pausing, changing, or suspending the account will void the promotion.

I am a little concerned about the wording "account" instead of "line" in the terms. Anyone has real life experience with similar situation?
No I don't have experience with it but I believe it's tied the Google account so you should be good but I would perhaps verify it from someone else.

I just finish chat with the level 2 support, and they told me that when it ship it shows the error as soon as you activate the serial number or their IMEI number device it should start rolling the promotion data.
The guy on the reddit (referenced here in this thread), who has the promo issue as a new FI customer, doesn't even see the counter after activating S26U.

Can we try this? So return window is 15 days and I think once you initiate the return you will have 14 days to return it back (that's additional I think). Can we utilize that somehow?
Because if what you said is true then for me return period and 21 days ref counter is gonna be on same day.

Alternatively, I was also thinking what happens if I somehow donot receive it today (missed shipment)? UPS might try to deliver it second time and then maybe it will buy me one more day to test this theory.
You can return most items that you buy from the Google Store within 15 calendar days after the day you receive them. To check the return window for your item, go to your Order History.

After you start the return process: You have 14 days to complete the return. (Not sure if they charge for shipping costs for a returned item).

Keep us updated. You are also one person I read that did the deal last year with new account and referral code. Did both referral and 120 countdown work together for the S25U for you?

Yep, it does work and continue to gather

I agree with you on that note, those are on the border of the 21 days, on the 12th day start return and buy the other 14 days, and you are back in business if the counter starts, then you keep it, else return it.

You are mostly treated as an existing users so when your new phone arrives 1. Use the Gmail account used for ordering and Fi account to setup and the download and run the FI app. 2. Wait for a day and check the progress counter in Fi app (billing, track FI saving and rebates, in progress) and see it shows activated the phone on FI and then countdown has gone down to stay active for 119 more days. At this point, you can disable the FI eSIM, remove the app/reset the phone if desired and put your ATT SIM on it. 3. After 120 days make sure counter is 0 or in progress tab is gone. At this point you can cancel the service or pause it for next deal.
So do you not even need to open the phone any more to activate the device on the fi account, is that what you are saying? Can you then just keep paying the fi service til counter hits zero, or does the actual phone need to activate with sim/e-sim? What if resold and someone activates the phone with another account?

A friend of mine also signed up as a new Fi user using referral code on March 1st and activated his Fi service March 1st. Bought S26U March 2nd. He received the phone March 10th. He activated it that same day. Today his countdown started...119 days to go...no error message saying a new Fi user activated the phone.

So not sure what's different for folks getting an error message instead of the usual countdown.

Haven't received my son's S26U yet. He's also a new Fi user.

No, you do need to activate the phone on the account it was ordered from, that's what I meant in step 1 although I should have been explicit that you need to do that in the new phone.

Could be that they didn't wait at least 24hrs before ordering the phone.
Does your friend's referal counter also counting down?

It is somewhat random, I am not sure why. I am also not sure why the error is coming just after shipping before any kind of activation. But if your friend is a honest to goodness Fi subscriber then I don't know why his counter will go down and others didn't.

Do you know if it is an issue if another account is activated on the phone after?
