The $899 retail price is for the 256GB model. It's $1099 retail for the 512GB model. Amazon is giving you a free upgrade on the storage capacity, plus a $100 Amazon gift card, all without any trade-in overhead. It's not a bad deal for a launch price.

This will be vastly better performance, battery and camera wise compared to your Flip 5. I too have a Flip 5 and all though not my main phone, I love that thing and refused to trade it in. Having a battery that fits in half a phone is the down side to vertical flip phones.

I am still using S24U. Love the s-pen to snap photo wirelessly. I am not upgrading either.

Any one know if I do trade in BB, I can do the transfer to new phone there? Or I have to clean my phone and just walk in to pick up new phone and hand over the trade in ?

Premium phones are a scam nowadays. I have an S24+, the battery lasts a tiny bit longer and some photos even look worse than my Pixel 5a (5 year old phone), especially in low light. And photos are way oversaturated on my Samsung. The Samsung doesn't load webpages any faster, apps open a few milliseconds faster, that's all I really can feel on my S24 over the 5a. I fell for the hype. Will be my last and only $1k phone purchase.

Most people looking for the best value should stick to the $300-$500 segment and only upgrade if a battery replacement costs more than a new phone, as the battery health is what causes phones to slow down over time. The more you charge and drain it, the faster you destroy the health. Use the features on phones nowadays to cap charging at 80% and your phone will remain fast longer, avoiding the need for the cycle of constantly upgrading. If you want to make it last even longer, charge it before it drops below 20% battery.

I'm done with the phone upgrade cycle scam. I'll be using the same phone until security updates run out (7 years), then upgrade again.
