This is a 3-way tower with folded ribbon (AMT) tweeter, 5.25" dedicated midrange and THREE 6" bass woofers with a (claimed) F3 of 40Hz and 90Hz sensitivity.
Not as pretty as Martin Logan's AMT tower speakers (F2 is the rough equivalent), but costs about 60% less.
If you've never heard a ribbon tweeter before, they generally offer more treble extension and resolution than most domes, without any aggressive "brightness." The trade-off is that you get narrower vertical dispersion, which may be better in very large and/or highly reflective rooms (less floor/ceiling bounce), as well as depending on personal preferences (same with anything else).
