i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
Not worth it in CA with sales tax. 200 + 100 tax + 20 new line activation + 60 for 2 months service (-20 with gig plan) + 10-20 for prorated month service + the trade in. I got 2 to keep.
So. I went to my Spectrum store and they told me they haven't received the Galaxy S26 and won't get it until next Wednesday. Has anyone ran into this issue?
Edit: I'm in Reno, NV
Did you tell them whether you want an upgrade or new line?
I was there for 2 hours and I heard they told people they don't have stock while I had 5 in front of me.

Pretty much this, I think rep are either keeping some for themselves or manager told them to stop at certain limits so you have to make another visit. Sometimes if you say upgrade instead of adding a new line, the answer various (obviously they want you to open a new line but I heard the commission is very little now for opending line). We have a month.
The MSRP increase definitely makes this promo a bit more iffy this year.
I paid around $280(CA tax included) for each phone after trading in. I'm going to resell them after they're unlocked but I don't think it's worth it this time around since the profit feels rather small(maybe $100-200 for each?). I'm just a little glad I managed to get rid of some older phones.

I agree it's getting close to the point it's not worth the hassle. I'm getting free activation and another 12 months free service to go with my $268 after taxes S26 after trading in my broken screen messed up camera iPhone in store.

I said I wanted to upgrade. Are they saving the phones for new lines only?

Hey i sent you a PM earlier. Just wanted to know how come you didn't do two new lines and trade in two devices and get the $200 off each phone? For new customers with internet?
Went today in store and said they don't have stock.
They placed an online order for me though in the store and checked the trade in phone. Didn't fully see if lock status is checked (I traded in unlocked phone) but I know imei and storage are checked.
She said delivery should be in 1-2 days and credit should be back 7 days maximum after sending the trade in by mailing (she didnt let me trade in the store and she only checked the device)
Activation fee is not waived for me(Didn't port in and I went with a new number)

Sorry the screen was cracked and smashed but still functioned. The back camera lens was broken and cracked and missing. The camera made strange noises when you take pictures. It's the first time I traded in a damaged phone but I was surprised they took it.
Any idea if they have 512GB models available in store? Looks like online they only offer black in 512gb and I'm unable to select it (sold out?). Would ideally like the cobalt violet 512gb but looks like that's not happening.
They typically only carry the lowest storage tier in store
