i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

Any one know of cheap devices i could use for trade in. Looks like spectrum is not accepting cheap moto devices for trade in as last year
I am trying to look for the same. Not sure if there is any cheap combination of trade for a decent device. If you find a combo please let me know.

I was denied trading in base s26 for s26 ultra. He said corporate is catching on to this from previous years or something to that effect. I politely walked away

Is it the phone that needs to be active for 60 days on Spectrum, or is it just 60 days of active Spectrum Mobile service? i.e. could I activate the S26 in store but then move the SIM to another phone while the S26 sits in a drawer for 60 days?

Yes but it's 1 discount per account now. I tried adding a new line the $700 discount disappears at checkout. I think after all these years they finally figured out what everyone was doing and turned it off.

He lied to you. Some employees just make up their own rules and enjoy being the gatekeepers. The system allows it. Try again at another time with another employee or another store.

Whoever got the trade in credit, did you get the $700 plus the tax difference also back? (Based on the final cost)

Pretty much this, I think rep are either keeping some for themselves or manager told them to stop at certain limits so you have to make another visit. Sometimes if you say upgrade instead of adding a new line, the answer various (obviously they want you to open a new line but I heard the commission is very little now for opending line). We have a month.
that's likely if the manager or supervisor wants to maximize new lines over upgrades (new lines pay more commission wise).

Not sure if it's the same, but I got the s26 in-store. I tried testing to see if I could get the $700 if I trade it in for the plus or ultra. It shows the $700 all the way, until the checkout where it only shows the $430 for s26. Tried existing line and new line, both the same thing. So not sure if in-store employees can bypass that.

Hey all, I just went to trade in a phone that is not active on my account in the store. The rep said the phone had to be active on the line to trade it in. he added it, and it showed on my app and on his screen, but when he tried to do the trade in it wanted him to do it with the phone thay was on the line previously. He said it sometimes takes a few days to show?

Has anyone else experienced this or know how long it takes to be traded in?

Nope, I just tried to test to trade-in for Ultra with a new line and it showed $700 off at the final step before clicking on the Submit button to finish the checkout, but I didn't do it. I already received the S26 Ultra phone and waiting for the approval from Assurant email. I haven't activated my new phone yet.

I'm not understanding your question. The trade-in phone you were trying to trade in does not need to be active anywhere. It's a trade-in phone. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're asking.
