i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
Hey all, I just went to trade in a phone that is not active on my account in the store. The rep said the phone had to be active on the line to trade it in. he added it, and it showed on my app and on his screen, but when he tried to do the trade in it wanted him to do it with the phone thay was on the line previously. He said it sometimes takes a few days to show?Has anyone else experienced this or know how long it takes to be traded in?
That's BS from that agent. The trade-in phone didn't need to be active in the account. We have done that thousand times online and in-store. He lied to you and got exposed during the checkout process.

Took 30 minutes but I successfully got an S26 for $268 by trading in an old busted screen iPhone 11. California so had to pay the full tax amount before getting the $705 credit. Feels like my account is messed up my credit card shows a $268 charge and then right after a $268 credit. My spectrum account shows a balance of $268 and my next payment due is $29.99. Everytime I go into the spectrum store they screw something up.
Trade-In Value ($600.00) + Spectrum Promotion ($700.00)
The trade-in value and any additional promotion credit will be processed after your device is received and verified. If the final trade-in value exceeds the cost of the new device, the difference will be credited to your account.
Nope, I just tried to test to trade-in for Ultra with a new line and it showed $700 off at the final step before clicking on the Submit button to finish the checkout, but I didn't do it. I already received the S26 Ultra phone and waiting for the approval from Assurant email. I haven't activated my new phone yet.
Must be different for some people. I can't seem to get the $700 credit to show up at checkout with my s26 that I got in-store today.
I'm not understanding your question. The trade-in phone you were trying to trade in does not need to be active anywhere. It's a trade-in phone. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're asking.
That's exactly what i encountered. The rep said the phone had to be active on a line to trade it in. But when he put it on the line the trade in system wouldn't accept it but was requiring the phone that had been on the line and not the added device.
I dont really understand either.

It seems to work for me, but I will not do any trade-in until I receive the approval email from Assurant and activate my Ultra one. I don't want to add a new line unless I have to. Are you really sure the $700 credit not showing up at the final step before the submit button?

Try another store. It seems like more and more reps are giving us a hard time this round.

Yea, I'm adding the trade-in for the s26 I just got and paid in full. It all shows I'm getting the $700, until I add to cart. Then in cart all it shows is the credit for the phone itself. Get all the way to payment and still nothing. Not sure if it's different because mine already got instantly accepted, while you're still waiting for yours to get approved by assurant?

Try to clean the history or cache in the browser or app and try again. So it only showed the device credit like $5 at the end and no $700?
