i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

I had a bad feeling when they already had the S26 trade in values listed weeks before the phone launched.
I know that the $700 bonus is not attaching with S26 to S26 but do you happen to know how much the trade-in value of the S26 is currently listed as just for the device when you enter the valid IMEI?

Trying to figure out the difference between S25 trade-in value last year versus S26 trade-in value this year to see how much Assurant adjusted for the $100 increase in price of the device.

Was your order not approved? Did you get information about doing the trade-in? They usually approve orders within 24-hours and ship using overnight. You should get the trade-in information after the order is approved. If they needed additional verification from you in order to process the order you should have received an e-mail.

Same here, after validating the order which is worth doing, and tedious because of Spectrum's paranoid order processing (I get the impression they serve a lotta hoodlums and are freaked about theft). The 512gb Ultra has been on backorder and supposedly may ship out today.

Thanks but I cannot view any of the imgur links for some reason. They say "Imgur is temporarily over capacity. Please try again later."

edit: You can disregard. I was able to find an S26 IMEI online and see it is $430. This is pretty similar price to previous years. So even though device cost is $100 higher looks like only minimal impact on trade-in value.

Oh you both ordered the 512gb Ultra? That could be why. I do not think it ever came in stock yet on the website. The website says estimated availability with today's date.

Out of curiosity did you yet get the e-mail about sending in the trade-in? I was always curious how that is handled with regards to backorders.

To compare to last year, the price I paid for the base s25 was $97.97 including tax. I traded in a moto G that I paid $30 for but harvested the tracfone minutes so didn't consider that part of the expense. Even if you include it the price of the moto g the total was $130. This year it will cost $250-310 depending on tax in NY. So $120-$180 more.
I will give this one more try. Has anyone tried a s26 IMEI recently bought on a spectrum account on a different separate unrelated Spectrum account to see if the $700 plus upgrade would work on an s26+ or Ultra? It's clear you can not do it on the same account unlike other years. Reddit seems to think this will work but no one has specifically tried this.
Thanks

For those that sent your trade in via UPS, how long did it sit in Mesquite, TX? Mine has been there since early Saturday with no movement. I expected delivery today (that's only 30 minutes from Lewisville, TX) but nothing.

If account shows S26 Ultra with a $400 off when opening 2 mobile lines with 1 number being ported, is the $400 applied in addition to the $700 trade in as a rebate when paying off instantly or is it given as bill credits over 36 months?
Anyone tried it? TIA.

Mine stayed there for 24 hours before starting its trip to Ft worth where it stayed again 14 - 15 hours and then took another 6 - 7 hours to deliver.

Plus the trade-in value of the S26 is only $430 which is similar to trade-in value offered in previous years even though price is $100 higher. Should be over $500. Looks like the retention of value is dropping if resell value is only seeing minimal change relative to rising retail cost.

No one has officially tried it yet as I've been looking for the same answer. I have an appointment in store on Wednesday so I'll try it and report back.
Please report back if you find an answer sooner

My deliveries through UPS to Assurant have typically had final processing through Fort Worth. I've had packages sit in Fort Worth all weekend and then delivered Monday morning. Sounds like your package was probably suppose to go from Mesquite to Fort Worth by this morning for delivery but did not make it in time.

Also like others my UPS shipments with Assurant never show updates on the Assurant website. I even get e-mails saying reminder to ship. Only updates after the device is processed. They should fix this because people might ship the device and have it received within the appropriate window but their system does not register it as such. At least their processing time this year seems to be better than some of the previous years (so far).
