Lights came with strong magnets - I stick one of them to the inside back of my metal mail box, set it to lowest-light + turn-on-at-night only.
It lights up nicely every time I open the mailbox and I don't need to bring a flash light any more during the very dark winter days.
It lasted many months without require any charging (it has a 2400mAh battery).
