Not sure if I can help in the way you want, but there was a deal for this posted in Sept 2025 for $25.39, and it got +6. Hopefully someone else can weigh in as well.

These lights are still really hard to beat IMO for the price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CN68ZQJR? They'll strobe colors for 12ish hours, white for 5ish hours, and a combo of white and color (brightest) for about 6 hours. You can also sync them all via the remote so they strobe at the same time by setting each light manually to the color/strobe combo of your choice, say yellow for left and right, red for back, and red + white for back of helmet, then use remote to turn them all off, and then back on, and they'll be synced. If I get hit wearing them at night, the driver had to be completely blind for a long time.

There's also kind of a bigger brother model that's an even brighter white strobe, ever slightly less bright color strobe, about 3x battery capacity, but there aren't as many different strobe color/white combos. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9NC59ML?
I've been happy with both the past two years. Work great for electric unicycles, scooters, bikes, etc.

I bought it last time. It's bright and works well. Mounting is kind weird because it's longer, but no big deal. Bought another. Paid 26 last time. Bright enough for day time.

It's a well-made light with good build quality, but a little too bright for my tastes for anything other than daylight usage. You should get a couple years of good regular use out of the non-replaceable battery before failure. If that happens, then NiteRider will give you a coupon for a ~25% discount on a new light purchase at full retail price. It may be greater than 25%, but I don't remember. The last time this happened with me with a different NiteRider light, I ended up buying a different brand with replaceable batteries (Portland Design Works Danger Zone).

In for one. My Cygolite Hotshot Pro 150 gave up the ghost last year and I had to fall back to my older Pro 80, which amazingly still works. I ride primarily during the day do need something daylight visible.

Normal price is not $35. This is 25% off.
Also a lot of reviews express concerns with the light's mount and stability.

That's incorrect. Amazon's "Typical Price" is bullshit. Trust me, I paid $24.xx something for mine about 6 months ago, and at the time it was normally selling for over $30, I believe. The price on this only recently came down... historically it was around $30. OP found an excellent deal and should be given some credit.

Is this bright enough to blind people driving behind me? Because I'm not sure I want to do that.

You need 500-1000 lumens of WHITE light to temporarily impair vision. Red light will require significantly more lumens to achieve same effect.

Had the same issue with my cygolite hot shot. Way too bright for nighttime use. Even the varia I use currently is a touch too bright.
