I just got it from woot for $50 nevermind amazon has it for $43 so I'll return the woot one and get the Amazon one wait woot now has it for $40 I need to rerturn the amazon one and get the woot one no actually amazon has it (recurse until stack overflow

SD had that post for it cheaper a few days back, but it was very YMMV and $40 is still historically one of the best prices this controller's been.

I've heard that for steam, the only way to use gyro is via bluetooth so that Steam recognizes it as Switch 1 or 2 Pro controller. Is this correct?

Well not quite. There are three toggles : S, D, S/X. Bluetooth pro controller is the S. What you want is D. And it can be wired or bluetooth, but not 2.4gz dongle.

Just got this for $50. I really like the controller other than the grip, and the sticks seem far for me, even in comparison to a PS5 controller. I was going to get one for my kid but I def don't think it's good for his small hands.

This is hands-down the best third party controller for any system. I primarily use it when I have my steam deck docked, or if I blow the dust off my switch and fire up a game of mariokart. Excellent quality and feels solid. I'd argue it's as comfortable as a PS4 controller. Definitely a pick up at this price.

Yeah, the only reason I'm not bothering to upgrade my Pro 2 is because the wireless latency doesn't get any better with this controller if you want the Gyro or extra buttons to work. Hopefully the new steam controller doesn't have the same issues.

If you like the snes d-pad then this controller has the best d-pad. The Playstation-style grips also help a lot, it's my favourite controller.
