The battery is the same (5100 mAh), but the phone is spec'd with a longer run time, 30hr vs 24hrs

You get a new modem. (Exynos Modem 5400 vs 5300... big improvement)
You get new bluetooth (6 vs 5.3)
Upgraded Gorilla glass from 3 to 7i (huge improvement)
Improved fast charging (30w vs 23w, and wireless 10w vs 7.5w)
The 10A supports satellite SOS feature, if that is important to one's particular usecase

Certainly not mind-blowing, but I wouldn't say "identical".

Not a good price. Wait 2 months, if that. This will be $349 by then, unlocked and it'll be free with any sort of contract/plan length sign-up even on pre-paid.

I think the point is if you gave someone the 9a and 10a, you would not be able to tell which one is which through anything meaningful. Colors are also slightly different but again, if you hand someone two of the same color, they would not know the difference.

Depends on what you're trading in, but generally yes. Google sent out a coupon for $100 off, and you could also opt for a $100 store credit OR the Pixel Buds 2a. I ended up getting the 10a and Pixel Buds 2a from Google for $154 after coupon, last years store credit, and trade in.

In what world do you think the Do Evil company would ever give 10a a better camera when the freaking Pixel 10 has the exact same main and ultra wide as 9a? No the 10a has identical sensor and lens as Pixel 10 (minus tiny 5x sensor) and the 9a. It's total stagnation and money grab at this price.
