A lot of these Zoom pedals are supported by aftermarket software that can import effects from other models or even completely convert one pedal into another model. Zoom Effect Manager is a great one but I can't tell if this one is supported. There's a mention of this pedal on the github for zoom-zt2, so it may be supported by that software.

The previous generation were hacked allowing users to convert from one pedal to another by updating firmware image. Hopefully these will one day be hacked as well.

It looks like you might need to be barefoot to use it.

For the at-home players, the sonicake pocket master on AZ is a $65 multi effects and amp simulator.
Clear screen, usb c rechargeable battery, built in LOOPER, built in tuner, and Bluetooth connection for the smartphone app which allows you to edit and change your presets on the fly
It has pedals but they're certainly not meant to be stomped on, definitely more for the casual player but incredible value

Totally agree. I grabbed mine for 50 after Christmas and I haven't played through anything else since.

So is this essentially just a distortion pedal?

Of sorts, it does let you choose from a bunch of different models and types, and you can chain 2 of them together. Also has USB-C power option which is nice to see. Should have just left the battery (2 AA) out, IMO
