Group III synthetic blend. Wish they would call it what it is. Group IV PAO is a true fully synthetic oil.

Upon further research, this is the same company. They usually only use Mobil branding for conventional and Mobil-1 for full synthetics.
like others said, this is just a blend instead of full synthetic.

Are you able to tell on the bottle which group it is or do I have to reference the manufacturer website? Sorry newbie dad here supportin his son's mechanical journey.

There's no way to tell on the label. You'd want to find a product data sheet showing the harmful ingredients to get a small sense of what's inside.

Not necessarily. Mobil 1 is just a specific lineup of oils from ExxonMobil. It'd be like looking at cars and you see a Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Blazer, etc. Mobil 1 is their flagship lineup.

Seems to be missing Dexos1 Gen3 certification, unlike this Quaker State at $1 more: https://www.walmart.com/ip/1621386547

Thoughts?

This is ExxonMobils entry level oil. QS would be between this and Mobil 1. Definitely buy QS for only a $1 more over regular Mobil.

That makes sense; the product description mentions 7,500 oil change intervals while QS' mentions 10,000 -- not that one should go past 5k, from what I keep hearing.

Thanks!
