Same, I paid $8.99 for them on an Amazon sale a few years ago. This is a great deal for these. I have at least 7 of these and have 4 hooked to my PLEX server. One died after 2 years of running 24/7/365 on the PLEX server. Drive was fine thankfully.

Have 4. Not running 24/7 but to swap out on a Roku or PC's. No issues. In for 2 more.

Probably they bumped up the price. Can't even run a deal without faking the price.

Yes - get a cable and transfer everything off of it as soon as you can.

For a 3.5 hdd you'd need one that has external power. I got this one several months ago. It's cheap and it works fine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6RH6JBH

I have this. Been using it for a couple months. Works great. Had a couple 2.5 SSD drives from laptops. Using it as a portable drive. Speed is decent for a portable drive. Recommend.

What is a "plex" drive? Aren't these for "sata" drives?
