You'd think slickdeals would stop these SimpliHome posts. It's just cheap Walmart furniture for standard price, with absurdly inflated original prices. Maybe they get an extra cut.

Lol. I love these comments. Go and try to find any kind of desk that looks like this for anywhere near this price range. Everything is cheaply made now unless you want to spend 1000's of dollars. Thanks for letting us know that this doesn't fit your standards but there are a lot of people that this would be an upgrade for. I don't post anymore because everyone thinks that if it doesn't fit their lifestyle that they need to get in the comments and shout to the world that they are vegan and drive a Subaru. Thanks for posting this and if my daughter didn't have a desk already I would jump on this in a heartbeat!

It's not against OP, it's against the company having absurdly inflated prices. It's simply a shady tactic. I don't doubt that this desk is likely worth $85 as an original price.

I dont mind the table at all. its how the legs are attached. When you try to sweep, it becomes very inconvenient. This one isnt too bad, at least the bridges that are connected to it are above the ground. Some sit right on the ground making it very hard to sweep around. Just something to think about.

May be worth it just for the tabletop. I hate the one I have on my standing desk. Solid wood seems like a great deal.

Most desks are made of particle board. Solid wood at this price is very good. Not sure what the issue is. It takes a long time to sand the surface, apply finish etc

I agree it doesn't say anything about the kind of wood. At this price I just assume it's Ikea furniture, which still makes it a good deal.
