Buy only name brand bulbs like these. All the off brand bulbs don't last.

Regular soft white is 2700k, these are 2200k so be aware it will be very warm and yellow.

I have had both Phillips and Sylvania LED bulbs burn out within 3 years. I have a dozen unbranded bulbs from Costco that I got 8-9 years ago that are still going fine. I don't think the brand names mean what they used to...

40w is pretty dim for a lightbulb.... also reviews don't like lifespan

At 2200k, won't these be too yellow? I usually like 2700k to 3000k.
