I love this light. My favorite lantern of my many for sure. I use it on red light mode sometimes when winding down in the camper or traveling. Its nice to that you can put it on a very warm yellow/white instead of glaring white.

How it compares to LT1 (without S)?

Do you also have the Wurkkos CL01? Because personally, I think the Wurkkos is the better buy and $30-ish is its everyday price. It's smaller, lighter, more directional, the red light is better...I'm not sure what the LT1S does better other than stepped lighting (which is a "big" deal, but not as much as I thought it would be and definitely not enough to make me prefer it to the CL01). I literally never choose the Sofirn over the Wurkkos.

To BFL LT1 is the GOAT for what it is, I just think the LT1S is just kinda "meh" for the price in its segment.

My order was assessed a $3.53 "duty fee". I splurged on my filler item to get the free shipping: the $6.99 travel case for the LT1s. Sofirn currently has a 10% promotion (FEB10), but it doesn't apply to sale items. All it did was knock $0.70 off the travel case.

This is the most I've ever paid for a battery-powered light source of any kind. Thanks for nothing, Slickdeals. Wink

Thanks for bringing up the Wurkkos CL01. Looked it up and that does look like the fun, better buy.

I own a few of these lanterns, and while they're super high quality and have great battery life, they are way overcomplicated. The instruction sheet is this matrix of button presses counts, hold timers, etc to achieve all these customizations. Really cool in theory, but nothing is intuitive at all and if I lost that instruction sheet I'd be doomed. It's so complex I struggle to find benefit in all the features. One of my lanterns even has a bug apparently where I can't seem to turn off the "passive light" and it drains battery constantly. I personally won't be buying another one of these lanterns due to the complexity.

Isn't the 3000 L Tri Power Rechargeable Duracell Lantern available on sale in store @Costco for $20 better than the Sofirn or Wurkkos?

Per the POTUS - Tariff = "That is a tax on another country." However, when you order something from China, you will see a charge for the tariff
