I embarrassingly have about a PHD's worth of time into Div 2...Probably my favorite game of all time. Still fun after 7 years, with gorgeous grafx.
Lucky if you're starting new...Enjoy
P.S. Div 1 ain't shabby either...

IMO both games are pretty awesome and I HATE online only games (I like to pause, suspend my Steam Deck, etc) but tolerated it here. Played both games entirely solo even if connected to the internet 100% of the time.
Haven't played D2 in a while but they are always releasing new free seasonal content, events, and modes.

I feel the same way but both games are terrific. Debating the Ultimate edition of D2 as I haven't played any of the DLC for either and it's a decent price point.
Had fun with friends. The enemies become very bullet spongy later on and that's when it lost me.
That said, the levels are pretty awesome. As well as a plot that kept me going.

Both are fun solo or co-op.
Its so weird to me because while I agree that these both were fun to play, they are insanely repetitive. Somehow it still manages to be fun? I don't know if there's some mind trick going on lol but that seems to be the verdict across the board

The team aspect was amazing, like a level would seem impossible. And then you and maybe another guy catches on what to do, and then another guy adds to the strategy and then the next guy and next guy, it was pretty awesome.
The big sponginess complaint that so many had, which I entirely understand, just imagine theres some future force field tech that slowly breaks down like plexiglass and then it doesnt ruin the immersion

LOL same here bro on all points. I've been playing from release, a few breaks here and there but I've never felt bored playing this game. The bullet spongey enemies are managed with World Difficulty which also gives you a sense of accomplishment when you go higher and TBH a proper build demolishes bullet spongey enemies anyways so it's hardly an issue these days. I suggest everyone give this game a chance/2nd chance.
