1. Marketplace product sold by Acer.
2. Anyone know the return policy?
3. Warranty is 90 days through Acer
4. According to one review, be careful about buying Total Best Buy coverage on this as it may go through a 3rd party and not BB.

According to BB Marketplace FAQ it's the same as BB return policy. 15 days
This or the Lenovo legion 5i from Costco once it goes on sale March 1? This seems to have a better screen, better GPU and everything else similar... But what's the build quality like compared to a Lenovo?

Why are refurbished items posted here all the time? they're not standard deals...just some places have deals. The prices aren't really the price you'll get... is 27% off really a good deal wheny ou're buying a used product? Bestbuy's QC isn't really the greatest either. '
I'm just curious to why i'm seeing these, when buying something used for 27% off new isn't a slick deal, it's just how used prices are supposed to be.

These are sold directly from Acer, BB has nothing to do with these refurbs. And there's a big difference between manufacturer refurb and buying a rando used laptop... If you don't like the deal then don't click it.
Anyway, if they would only unlock the 240Hz screen on this it would be amazing. It's still great for the price, other brands are pushing normal 5070s all the was up to $2k

slickdeals should really have tags for used/renewed/refurb'd items.
i like buying used/renewed but not at only 27% off lol
but to be fair, im just window shopping. not really in the market for another laptop
I have this laptop and was purchased through Acer ebay store - some listing state it comes with 90 day Acer warranty and some with 2 yr warranty through AllState.
On the screen refresh I updated and followed all the instructions posted and also from posts from rediff (There is big discussion on this topic on rediff). The screen refresh is fixed and cannot be changed which directly impacts usage on battery.
CPU temp on Intel Ultra series is a known issue use of thermalstop to reduces power draw has directly impact on cpu temp and extends battery usage life.
Fresh install of Windows 11 removes all necessary bloatware or can be manually uninstalled to reduce unnecessary CPU usage drain. I tried both and they work. There are quite a good number of debloating videos on YT.
My temp after debloat hovers around 52-56C and if thermal stop is activated to disable thermal boost for basic use my temp drops to 44-48C. This also brings down fan noise significantly (very mild hussing sound) under balance option setup in Acer Predatorsense.
Most of the reviews on YT that I have come across complain about sound though it does not have bass and most complain about volume being low. This is true for some Lenovo Legion models as well. What I noticed this laptop comes with DTS and unless DTS app is activated the quality of sound seems to inferior.
The key issues that I have encountered
1.The laptop does not switch on lid open.
2. Shift key on right is smaller which I miss
3. Battery charging can only be limited though Acer Predatorsense and no option is available in bios.
4.Pg up/down key is integrated into num keypad.
5.Accidentally I hit the co-pilot key a lot.
6.Heat on some laptops hit 100C - so need to be watchful.
7.Thunderbolt 4 instead of latest Thunderbolt 5
8.Wifi 6E instead of 7
9.Risk of OLED burn - though Acer has software support but still one needs to be careful.
10.Fan sounds high during high CPU and GPU usage.
Pros:-
1.This laptop processor is among the top 2 of Intel and overall among the top 5 from 2025
2.Powerful GPU you can buy that supports higher resolution for gaming.
3.Two USB C ports at the back with one supporting TB 4.0 and Power charge though limited to 100W
4. Has Card reader is helpful especially for professional photographers or comes handy for transferring images from devices such has CAR CAM.
My primary usage is for usage on AI/ML and the GPU on this laptop comes with 12GB ram and not gaming , I have already burnt 2 laptops over 3 year period due to GPU overheating.
Hope this helps!

Why does that make it a deal breaker?
Unless I am reading this wrong, it looks like it can be changed.
