It is WiFi6. I have had a lot of routers. Was never a Netgear fan until I wanted to get Wi-Fi out to my detached garage with enough bandwidth to stream my HD on the TV out there. 10 or so years ago, Costco an Orbi system on coupon. It was model number RBS50 or something like that. I tried it with the base in the office, one satellite upstairs and one in the shop 150 feet away. I could run Speedtest in the shop on my phone and I was getting the same speed as I would get near the base unit. Made me an Orbi believer. I have installed a couple of Eero units for two different friends and they seem good, but I still believe my Orbi setup is better.

A) the Linksys 6e setup was junk. This trio sucks less.
B) 6e sucks in a lot of scenarios vs 6 tri-band.

It's a decent price, not mind blowing, but decent.

Imagine recommending Linksys, the company that sent a firmware update to nerf their very expensive Velop line to limit the amount of devices that can connect to it. All so they can use the extra overhead of the router to sell their new subscription service.Then they deleted their community discussion forum (partly) due to the backlash.

I have it sitting in my junk drawer now. Perfomance-wise, they were top notch. If you're okay with pausing firmware/security updates when they decide to brick your stuff down the line.

Although my Orbi work fairly well, I'm looking forward to not having them for my next set. I'm going to TP-Link. Not sure what it is, the lack of support if you need it, but I'm out on Orbi

Yes yearly to keep Netgear Armor by Bitdefender active. Usually you get 1st year free, idk about this one as I have to see the specs. If you don't do the auto renew, usually you get a pop-up with a discounted price to renew manually.

I have an Orbi now. Paid $599, piece of junk and zero support. They told me if I sent in all my routers they evaluate and send me a new one. But I'd be without any network for a month.
