I just got a new cocker spaniel puppy and was waiting for the adult dry dog food to go on sale. Each breed's kibble is a different shape. It's popular with breeders.

I've never ordered this before and don't have a 50% off on your first order coupon.

Ordered, Thanks! I checked the 50% off coupon seems like it is only for this Royal Canin for this round of promotion so I used it. Otherwise I might saved that for something else but oh well.
Royal Canin is not bad, will I call it the "best" ? Probably not. I have tried their cat food (which are kind of known for causing UTI so I stopped that) and their dog food, I've never seen a "decent" ingredient list on all of them. But it sure sounds like Vets recommend it. For now, I still have a brand new bag of Purina Pro plan for my dog, I will probably mix this with that and add some probiotics too.

Don't get puppy food for your adult dog. Too caloric.

People questioning Royal Canin ingredients is completely insane to me.

The four brands I will trust with my dog health are Hills Science and Royal Canin > Purina > Iams

And people that just assume that meat byproduct, meat meal, and grains are inherently unhealthy and bad for you are another kind of dumb. They may not be the most appetizing (which is why I like using a wet topper) but that couldn't be further from the truth. Seriously, go get educated: https://vet.tufts.edu/

Any downside to feeding one of these breed-specific foods to my rescue mix dog? 60lbs is probably dang near a year of food for her, and would be mixed in with Kirkland wet food.
