"Pixelsnap" is magsafe? Would this work on pixel 9 also? I've found most off brand cases don't really allow wireless charging on pixel 9 or 8a. I don't really care for apple but magsafe and wireless charging is top notch on those.

It won't work on Pixel 9. Only the Pixel 10 has the magnet ring on the back.

You can just buy any aftermarket case that has the "magsafe" built into the case. And tada, you now have magsafe.

I bought one too. It is a smooth surface but not slippery unless you have water in your hand. its a rubberized material with a good grip.

Pixelsnap is probably another name for "Qi2". Magsafe was supposed to be compatible with Qi devices, minus the magnetic aspect. Similarly, Qi2 is supposed to be compatible with Magsafe.
However, I had plenty of issues using many Magsafe chargers with my Pixel 8 Pro. Now my Pixel 10 Pro XL has issues using the older basic Qi chargers. And from what I've seen online, both phones did appear to have issues with some wireless charging standards. The lesson here being when using a Pixel phone, you may want to check online to see if anyone else has experience using a wireless charger with your specific model.
Anecdotally, I've had success with the 2 different simple ESR magnetic wireless chargers. The kinds that are just a small "puck" with an attached USB-C cable. SlickDeals has listed some in the last few months. I may have only gotten 5W or 7.5W charging speeds. But that was plenty for my use case, and it worked consistently.

i did have the ringke magsafe case on my pixel 9 but it always would randomly stop charging. was annoying so moved on to the pixel 10

I have the Google case for Pixel 9. Material and design looks identical. As someone with dry hands, I find the phone is constantly slipping. Of course, this is technically "user error", case itself seems fine otherwise.
