Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies are presented as a cheap tin of classic butter cookies, with the current price framed as a clearance move on leftover holiday stock. The cookies are described as tasting fine, and one opened tin carried a best by date of April 2026. The main concern is quality skepticism around whether recent batches are the same as before, with claims that the product is being pushed out as inventory ages and may not match the old standard. A decent option if freshness and consistency are not your top priorities.

Holiday leftovers!!!
They got greedy this past holiday season and kept prices inflated.
They briefly dropped to $4.28, then skyrocketed to $14.
Now that the expiration date is approaching, they are trying to get rid of them,

I feel like they would still be made in India but packaged in Denmark. They have millions of these unsold since Thangsiving, now they are just changing the outer box saying made in Denmark but they are not

I mean, isn't that how oversupply typically works? The made too much product and now need to get them moving. Same thing goes for out-of-season clothing, etc. They give you a discount in hopes you'll buy it, but the product is still perfectly good.

The tin that I opened today has a BB of Apr 2026. But I bought it back in Nov 2024. Tastes fine.
