Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies are presented as a cheap tin of classic butter cookies, with the current price framed as a clearance move on leftover holiday stock. The cookies are described as tasting fine, and one opened tin carried a best by date of April 2026. The main concern is quality skepticism around whether recent batches are the same as before, with claims that the product is being pushed out as inventory ages and may not match the old standard. A decent option if freshness and consistency are not your top priorities.

Holiday leftovers!!!
They got greedy this past holiday season and kept prices inflated.
They briefly dropped to $4.28, then skyrocketed to $14.
Now that the expiration date is approaching, they are trying to get rid of them,
I guess it worked...the price is now $14.98 😱

I can never eat these again after seeing those videos ugh yuck
What are you talking about? Those videos show Indian "Danish style" cookies. These are the real things made in Denmark, not India. Get your facts straight before posting.

same. Indians using their feet and all the mice....nope!
Er no. Those are "Danish style" cookies made in India. These are the real thing, made in Denmark. Different brand, different cookies. Get your facts straight before posting fake information.

This brand is still made in Denmark. And they haven't changed the recipe in your lifetime. They have nothing to do with India or those videos.

I feel like they would still be made in India but packaged in Denmark. They have millions of these unsold since Thangsiving, now they are just changing the outer box saying made in Denmark but they are not

Guys titkok and instagram are full of videos of not to buy these....Stores are full of them unsold, They are now trying to get rid of these on amazon, don't buy them
Get your facts straight. This brand is baked and exported from DENMARK. It has nothing to do with India or those videos. Seriously, do some independent research before relying on TikTok and Instagram for your news. In this case, it's as simple as looking at the photos on Amazon. Baked in Denmark.

The knockoffs are from India. Although China does export cookies, including butter cookies, I haven't seen any "Danish style" cookies or cookies in similar tins. I shop in Chinatown at least once a week.

Aside from saying "Made in India" or "Product of India," there are two other clues to look for. First, if it says "Danish style" instead of just "Danish." Second, if it uses artificial ingredients, e.g. vanilla or butter.

As an example, these are made in India:

And these "Danish style" cookies from "Mattigan" are also make in India.

Am I the only one not getting this price for the 24oz can? I'm seeing $14.23 for the subscribe and save, there are more discounts but it's nowhere near $5.10
