These cheap dashcams are ok for general overall recording of events - the video quality of these inexpensive dashcams is not good at night as road signs and license plates are almost illegible - see Project Farm on YouTube for comparisons. If you're concerned about being able to read license plates and road signs, and better night recordings, get something with a Sony Starvis 2 chip.

I'm sure this is very similar to the ones in this price range on Amazon but this advertises that the front camera is STARVIS 2, so should it be better in low light?

I'm seeing $99.99 instead of $50, am I missing something?

I did not see any mention of a Starvis 2 chip - in the product details section, it just states "CMOS" as the technology. It does show "5K" as the resolution though, and none of the images show Starvis 2 either. Where did you see Starvis 2? I may be going blind, so let me know.

Asked Rufus "The AZDOME 5K 3 Channel Dash Cam (M580) uses the original STARVIS technology (not STARVIS 2).
The product features Sony STARVIS CMOS sensor technology with IR night vision, which provides enhanced low-light performance for clear nighttime recording. While it doesn't have the newer STARVIS 2 technology, customers consistently mention that the night vision performs well in dark conditions"

If you scroll down to Product Description, it mentions STARVIS in Enhanced Night Vision section.

Dah! Where to attach the screenshot?!?!

Original starvis is plenty fine for our non primary vehicle. Seems to hit all the basics for the price, including the 5ghz connection. Will give it a shot. Ironically not a lot of great options with a non suction cup mount and a halfway decent sending in this price range.

only thing I don't see mentioned is whether this has a capacitor or not?

I used $3 AmExp Reward Points to get another 30% off. The final price before tax was $99.99-$50-$30.

I am trying to understand how it does interior. I see 3 separate cameras. Sounds like a decent deal otherwise, but I don't want to wire up 2 cameras for forward and interior.

It's dynamically changing lol.
For me it was $159, then 80 off with the code for an $80 total.
It's like they wait for the Slick Deal to take off then hope people will take the worse price.
