Are you saying no trade ins for the Buds? I've seen phone trade ins to get the new S26 Ultra for under $500 and with that I was able to add the buds for ~$150.

Correct, no trade ins for a separate purchase of Buds. Used to be able to turn in the year before models for a heavy discount.

Man, I was hoping they'd go back to the buds2 style instead of this again.

You are not the only one feeling this way. Buds2 were beloved. Here's hoping the connectivity upgrades are in some way noticeable to make up for them being more awkward again.

Buds 2 for men the buds won't fit into the case for charging. Have to squeeze it to start charging
