Seriously though, I would consider replacing. Is yours plastic?
A lot of research has been done since 2010 about the effects of microplastic consumption, and surely a metal shaker ball scraping against and chipping away at the plastic walls of these things can't be conducive to good health.
For someone like you that takes care of your items and uses them long-term, I would consider getting a stainless steel one. Actually, I'd recommend one of those to everyone. haha
Only received two, and they don't appear to be 28oz...going to return.
They are 28 oz if you fill them to the top of the lid through the drinking hole. Look at the pic on Amazon and it shows a picture saying the cup is marked up to 22 oz while you can achieve 28 oz by filling through the hole. They are effectively 22 oz bottles. I got 4. They are a little flimsy, and you have to screw the lid on tight to avoid leaks. They are worth $2.50 ea IMO.

I agree. They leak if you don't screw it on super tight. The lid is very thin plastic.
Have these and have been using them for about a year. Only complaint is particularly for the ones darker in color, you can't easily see the measurements on the side
Arrived yesterday- definitely a solid "meh" as compared to the original style blender bottles I use. I'm sure they will serve a purpose, but it feels like a $2 cup. Granted, I've never paid more than $6 for a blender bottle, so that may be an anchoring bias others don't have.
I'm very new into the protein powder shaker game, but I got the yeti yonder shaker 27 oz, and it does not use a wire ball to blend anything. I got it because i didn't want to make much noise when the family is asleep and I need to drink my 10pm protein shake per my diet.
This same company sells stainless steel ones for $9.99. Plastic tops tho. But still the best stainless price by far anywhere on Amazon that I'm seeing.VELOMIX 24 oz Stainless Steel Shaker Bottle with Wire Whisk - Leakproof, No Clumps, Odor Resistant Metal Shaker Bottle, Insulated Shaker Cups for Protein Shakes, Pre Workout and Smoothie (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FN3K2H36

I have various blender bottle 28 pro bottles and after a few washes through dishwasher the tops no longer lock properly when twisting them on and eventually leak. Does anyone else have this issue? Would love a dishwasher save non leak alternative

These don't have the strainer top, just the mixing ball, usually leaves a bunch of clumps around the mouth of the bottle.
Also the Hydracup has thicker plastic, and loop handle but they are like $5-10 more for a 6 pack but definitely worth it.
Because of my opinion about shaker cups?
I don't generally bring this type of conversation to parties,
but yeah, I'm pretty fun
most of those parties use Boston shakers and jiggers that are made of stainless steel anyway
