Just ordered Excellent condition for $862.99 before taxes with free shipping. Thank you for posting! Great price for Intel Core Ultra 9 with 2TB that's also 2-in-1 laptop. Can't even find used for that price.

This was $999 new during Black Friday. Would expect similar or even less in the next week or two as they clear out stock before the Series 3 Ultra Intels come to market. Decent price, but it is a 2024 machine that will be eclipsed by the performance of the new Series 3.

I'm in the market for a laptop like that, would you suggest waiting for the new gen machines or buying this one now? I saw one laptop here with 388 and it is $1500. Is $/performance ratio adequate compared to 288?

I know they are different OS and brand but how does this compare to MacBook Pro M4 16-inch

HP OmniBook X Flip 16
• Display: 16″ 3K OLED touchscreen (flip into tablet). Deep blacks, good contrast. Lower peak brightness than premium panels.
• Battery: ~6–8 hrs
• Performance: Strong daily use. Lower sustained performance under heavy load.
• Resell: ~30–40% after 3–4 yrs

MacBook Pro 16″ M4
• Display: 16″ Mini-LED (no touch). Higher peak brightness, excellent color accuracy.
• Battery: ~14–18 hrs
• Performance: Higher sustained CPU performance, especially multithreaded.
• Resell: ~60–70% after 3 yrs

I own both Mac and Windows. I prefer MacBook for reliability and resale value. I ordered this HP because sometimes wider software compatibility is useful. The 2-in-1 is a bonus. I don't draw often, but it's nice not needing to grab my iPad.

If you plan to keep it long term and don't care much about depreciation, this is a great price. Open-box excellent is even cheaper and still includes a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

Personally, I'm tempted by this, but logic says wait. The new Series 3 Ultra x9 is getting rave reviews, the entire SOC including graphics is just way better. But it'll come with an initial premium price. So do you drop $1100 on a 2024 machine or put it towards something better? I'm holding out, but then if this drops into the $750 range I might bite. And it might drop to that, BB seem to have a lot of these in stock to clear out.

It might drop another $100–$200 by Black Friday, but that's eight more months of waiting. Prices will always fall as new tech comes out. The real question is whether you need a laptop now. If yours still works fine, then don't spend money yet. Also, are you sure it was 388H for $1,500? That thing was just released last month. All the ones I saw were over $2k. That's $1,000 more expensive than this deal.

I'm sorry for the wrong info as I saw 358H - https://slickdeals.net/f/19254133-hp-omnibook-7-16-2k-120hz-oled-touch-core-ultra-x7-358h-32gb-lpddr5x-2tb-gen4-ssd-win11h-1500-f-s?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arelevance%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse
