I am not commenting on this laptop for or against it. I previously bought 2 Acer Predators. 1 with the 14900HX i9 and one with the 13700 i7. The one with the i9 had a 4080 in it and the other was a 4060. 4060 was 1080p 165hz. Not terrible. 18" still going strong. This part sucks though. The 4080 250hz 16" died 3 months after my extended warranty ran out. Gpu and cpu shorted and killed it. Estimated cost to fix not worth it. Could buy a 4090 refurbished for less. Acer told me they would fix it then after they sent me the email and postage or to send it to them for free mind you they sent an email telling me the service member should not have offered me the free service. They revoked my free repair and offered to let me give them about $1,800.00 to have them repair it. No matter who i talked to they would not budget and honor the free repair even after admitting they had done so in the first place. I have had many Acer Predator gaming monitors. 3 27" ips panels and a 34 ultrawide. Because of them going back and not standing by what they said I will never buy another Acer product. Maybe you will have better luck than I did but you have been warned. A repair was only going to be good for 30 days after I recieved the laptop back so no extended warranty could even be renewed. Now I just have an expensive paperweight.

Seconded.
I have a PH16 (not neo) that I purchased as open box with 1600p @ 165hz / 4060 / 13700hx. I love it. It's built like a tank. I had an Acer account already, and I tried to get the PH16 switched to my name for months and months. I was unable to get support to even talk to me until after the warranty expired. At which point they would not provide recovery media any longer.
My keyboard started acting a little janky, and getting a replacement is looking like maybe the $350-$400 range for a new topcase because the KB is held in place by a metal plate and plastic rivets. Although this is standard, the price seems to be a factor more of availability than bill of materials, and it still sucks that repair parts availability is so shitty. (Here's hoping the macbook Neo ushers in a return to screw-mounted keyboards...)
I'm actually leaning towards selling it as-is and putting that towards a 5070ti laptop. Though I still love it when I'm not typing on it. Stick Out Tongue
Acer hardware is generally very well put together on their premium products, but their software and support leave a lot to be desired.
With Acer's warranty strictness, I recommend buying through a merchant that offers a better warranty experience. eBay certified refurb with 2-year; Costco with their 2-year; or Amazon if their subscription warranty terms are good. (I have not read their fine print yet...)
