unlike most Ryzen deals posted on this site, this is actually a decent deal. The cooler is overkill for this cpu but can come in handy with any future cpu upgrades.

Maybe it is overkill but some people me included like aio builds rather than stock or even aftermarket air cooling.

If don't have DDR5 or AM5 Motherboard the bundle is better deal for $389 16GB DDR5 alone is around $200 now.

Would the bundle posted in these comments work well for a kid wanting to be competitive in roblox/fortnite gaming? Or does anyone have a better suggestion?

Yes, but you'll also need a graphics card, SSD, a case, and a power supply. If you live near Microcenter the 7600X3D bundle is a better value https://www.microcenter.com/produ...ild-bundle

Good deal - I paid $210 for my 7600X a couple years ago, no cooler. Just make sure you need the cooler (and want an AIO) and it's compatible with your case.

If I were building new, I wouldn't invest into a dead-end platform (AM4). Definitely compare against MicroCenter bundles if you live near one.

Good deal. Usually mid CPU deals are posted but this is like $140 if you dont have a cooler, and still a good price at $158. The only thing that gives me pause are rumors about Zen 6 being a big uplift...
