Definitely worth it at this price. I ordered the physical copy from Walmart for $10. Very fun baseball game for the gameplay, if sim baseball games aren't your thing like MLB The Show.

I have SMB 3, and it's the most fun I've had with a baseball game in many many years. I'm middle aged, and have played everything from the original Baseball on the Nintendo up to MLB the show.
SMB combines a grip it and rip it simplicity, but also a very satisfying game mechanics. Fun animations. Fun system of powering up players.
As long as they didn't screw it up with the new version, it's a great purchase. I believe this version has old time legends like Keith Hernandez.
I'll probably be buying this game in the next 10 minutes!

Adding one more thought about the game. It's very easy to adjust the difficulty setting. It's literally just a number you adjust at the beginning of the game (probably can do it at any point). And it tells you what you should be playing at. So, if you're at a lower number, your timing can be a little off when you swing but still have good results. And if you start dominating games, I'm pretty sure it suggests a higher difficulty level. You can also do things like let your fielders automatically go for the ball, if younger kids have difficulty with that.

I have it and it's a fun game. Pretty easy to pick up the controls. Base running is probably the one thing that needs to be learned because the runners just stop at the first base they get to.
Very easy to change difficulty and can be done on the fly.
For $5 worth it. I can't speak for the add ons

I had a lot of fun playing SMB 1-3, look forward to playing 4. $5 is probably as low as this will get.

This game is hard at first as you learn the controller and the timing.

I thought I would be able to recognize some MLB players, but I have yet to come across that roster.

Yes, haha. I noticed that the AI for automatic baserunning is moronic.

There are 200+ former MLB players in this new version.
