I found the RIDGID magnetic task light kit for $35, so this at $33 is too much for me, I'm waiting for it to drop before I'll bite

I really liked that magnetic light kit. unfortunately was sold out near me. This looks like the same light panel but with the much larger trigger handle, plus this is just tool only. Kind of a franken-tool it seems

While I don't have the magnetic one, this one is my favorite light by far. I have numerous lights and I grab this on first about 95% of the time.
I use it to walk the dog and when I am doing work. The articulation of the light is great, and you can set it down and work hands free.

This is one of my favorite lights to use at the workbench. In the field, less so.

If you do any fine parts work, you know how utterly challenging it is to get lighting where you need it. I set two of these up on the table in front of me, at the 10 and 2 position, LED bars extended just above parallel with the table.....so it shines down onto where I'm working. One is great, but two are better. They light things up like daylight at those close distances....and there's enough clearance to work on most small items under them.

Tons of articulation. Excellent amount of lighting.

In the field, they're a bit clunky. They have a hook to hang from a nail/joist, but that's it. So if you don't have a shelf/table to set this on, it can be a pain to use on the jobsite.

$33 isn't the best pricing, but not the worst. DirectFoolsOutlet has them for $17.50 on their "best" sales -- WHEN they are in stock, and IF they allow you to buy more than one at at time. So $33 isn't outlandish for a brand new one. If you have ridgid batteries, it's worth grabbing one or two.

I can echo the sentiments expressed by others... I own every light in the Ridgid lineup and this one by far gets the most use.
