Great book, great author, great deal! I'd highly recommend his other work as he excels in narrative non-fiction. Also, his articles for The New Yorker are great too, albeit a bit lengthy.

Aesthetic obviousness is not Say Nothing's only sin, however. Like its source material, the show's portrayal of the British army and state is uneven. On the one hand, Brigadier General Frank Kitson and his administration are portrayed as ruthless, brutal even, interning hundreds of people and beating them into confessions. But many of the worst sins of the British state are elided or glanced at, the equivalent of a newspaper headline instead of a full portrayal. The British Army's killings at Bloody Sunday, for many the defining event of the early Troubles, are absent from the show almost entirely, reduced to a phrase shouted by Dolours as she is dragged into court. In the book, Keefe dispenses with Bloody Sunday in a few sentences.

Even the dogs in the street know, you should please mark this deal as a kindle or e-book deal in the title.

This is random commentary about a show that's based on the book. This deal is for the book, the two aren't the same.

Ok novice with odd phrasing, if you don't automatically know a deal for $1.99 is an ebook, and the fact that the first two words of the post are "The ebook" isn't enough for you, downvote it. And then, for the love of god, read it. Or any book.

Good book. You should be able to get it free on Libby.

Was left with very mixed feelings about Gerry Adams. On the one hand the relentless lie was exhausting and kind of Trumpian on the other hand he probably did contribute a lot to the peace process.
[Edit] Another big takeaway is what a legal mess the whole Belfast Project / Boston Tapes / Boston College Tapes were. I feel like we need a better framework for this kind of endeavor.
