works great, the battery life is fantastic. watch 5 pro would last about 30 hours of regular usage so pretty much charging every night. ultra lasts 60-70 hours on a charge so much, much better.
otherwise it feels identical, ultra is a little bigger/heavier but can replace strap with alternatives, easy to use, etc. i have a flip 5 so pairs great with that. I mostly use it for steps tracking and song control when working out. MSRP i think is crazy but these kind of deals are pretty good.
i have mine on google fi and no extra fees and works great as an emergency phone/gps, not sure if international versions like this would work in US carriers or not. The one i got on eBay registered just fine with google fi.
i would say its probably best to stick to the same ecosystem, so if you have an apple phone apple watch, google phone then maybe pixel watch, and samsung phones go great with samsung watches.
The strap that comes by default (i got orange) is hideous but I got a replacement $15 faux leather band that works great, along with a second one that is a magnetic clasp which is nice when traveling (easy on/off for TSA etc).
i bought a galaxy watch 5 pro on ebay about a year ago that failed after 9 months (ebay warranty refunded the purchase price so it was all good) and proceeded to buy a refurb'd ultra watch 2025 on ebay for a bit under $200 and have had it for 3 months or so.
