I have this one and it works fine. However when it was momentarily lost I ordered this one https://a.co/d/05aY3lmz which automatically turns itself on when you open it. I only use this auto one now because of that.

While I like convenience and making things go smoother just as much as the next guy, we're getting into an awkward spot as a species when it's too much to ask to push a button to turn on our electronic thermometers.

Good price, I am now looking for one that has a longer connector, so I can leave the reader outside of the pot and monitor temp that way.

Great deal. I paid about $16 for this (actually the TP03HW - this listing is for the TP03H) at Home Depot (or maybe Lowes) about 2 years ago and it's been great. Still using the original AAA battery and I use it frequently. Tempted to get another.
