Dumb question - will people throw away these towels after using them? Why they always sold in batches?

We reuse them but they go bad after couple uses or unusable since they are not the best quality at the prices and quantity they sell for

I use them for cleaning and oiling pew pews. It's easier for me to use and toss. They're cheap enough and last long enough per use, that I feel like it's not a waste of money. I thank you for your comment though, because I may start to clean and reuse some of them after thinking about your comment.

Just get some oxiclean to soak and reuse them. No need to be so wasteful.

Yes, I throw them away after a few months.

Microfiber cloths seem to pill and streak/leave dust/debris on glass after a few uses, so even after I have washed them the poor quality tends to show eventually.

I only buy the microfiber cloths at Costco. Premium quality. I will typically keep a cloth in use for a few years. We have a bunch we use for household cleaning that we keep separate from ones I use for cleaning gadgets, electronics, car glass, etc. They wash clean very well (even really dirty greasy ones) and even after the fluffiness is gone, they're still good for drying the car, etc. When washing, I use just a tiny bit of detergent -- it goes a long way with MF cloths and I put the washer on a 2nd rinse to make sure any soap residue is gone. We definitely get our monies worth.

Costco sells a 36-pack of high quality, large cloths for $18.

Ya, last cheapo pack I bought the towels were barely better than terrycloth, and didn't last more than a wash or 2. The super cheap large packs are 'buy, use (maybe wash), toss'.
